Upon closer inspection, this incredible painting by Alexander Dudin, “1953 Demonstration” (painted in 1987) reveals ghastly and macabre shapes of Soviet NKDV, or KGB, carrying people to their deaths… A perfect illustration of Stalin’s “reign of terror” and the artificial cheer displayed in the 1930s-1950s Soviet art.
